The Rebrand Announcement
Announce a rebrand without spooking anyone
We are rebranding: [OLD NAME AND NEW NAME, WHY WE ARE CHANGING - THE REAL REASON, WHAT STAYS THE SAME, WHEN THE SWITCH HAPPENS]. Write the announcement: the news and the date in the first two lines, the honest why (not 'we have evolved'), what customers must do if anything (logins, billing, emails), what does not change, and the answer to the question everyone actually has - is this a sale, a pivot, or trouble? Then the internal version for employees and the three-line version for social.
Inputs needed
- #Old and new name, real reason, what stays, switch date
What good output looks like
News and date up front; the real-reason test passed; customer action items explicit; the subtext question answered; internal and social versions included
