The Investor No Follow-Up
Follow up on an investor pass so the door stays open
An investor passed: [WHO, WHAT THEY SAID WHEN PASSING, HOW FAR THE PROCESS WENT, WHETHER THE REASON WAS REAL OR POLITE]. Write the follow-up that keeps the door open: thank them for something specific (their time, a sharp question), ask the one question a pass entitles me to (what would have to be true), state the two milestones that would make this a different conversation, and put myself on their calendar without asking ('I will send a one-paragraph update when we hit X'). Then the tracking rule: which passes get updates and which get nothing.
Inputs needed
- ■Investor, their pass language, process stage
What good output looks like
Thanks is specific not generic; the entitled question asked; milestones concrete; update promise self-scheduled; triage rule for who gets follow-up
