Our team argues about the same trade-offs every sprint: [THE PRODUCT, THE RECURRING ARGUMENTS - SPEED VS POLISH, POWER VS SIMPLICITY, WHAT KIND OF COMPANY WE ARE]. Draft five product principles: each one a trade-off stated as a choice (we pick X over Y), each one falsifiable (a real decision it would change), each one written in our voice with zero platitudes ('we care about quality' is banned). For each principle, the recent argument it would have settled. Then how we pressure-test and adopt them so they do not become wall art.
Inputs needed
- ■Product, recurring arguments, company character
What good output looks like
Each principle is a real trade-off with a loser; each maps to a settled past argument; zero platitudes; adoption plan included
